When it comes to achieving that perfect, natural glow, what’s your secret? Truthfully, I didn’t have one until recently.

I was intrigued by both OGEE’s Complexion Perfecting Tinted Serum and ILIA’s Super Serum Skin Tint, and when I sorted through reviews, they seemed really similar. So I gave both a try to see which would suit my skin; which could balance hydration without heaviness.

Here’s what I found:

The one with the most customizable coverage…OGEE

Both OGEE and ILIA promise a natural finish, but I found that OGEE truly delivers on that “second-skin” effect.

The Complexion Perfecting Tinted Serum offers buildable coverage that feels feather-light. I was initially skeptical—having used OGEE’s Sculpted Oil Complexion Sticks for a while, I didn’t think a liquid could match their control and weightlessness. To my surprise, OGEE’s serum did just that, providing a radiant finish without a cakey feel.

I can’t say the same for ILIA’s tinted serum—its texture is stickier and felt heavier on my skin. To ILIA’s credit, they carry a wider range of shades, but due to OGEEs buildable formula, their 20 color options really cover all the bases.

The one with beautiful, organic ingredients…OGEE

Any cosmetics you apply to your face are going to get soaked right up by your skin, which is why skincare-forward makeup is a must for me. OGEE’s commitment to organic, cruelty-free ingredients is my jam.

The Complexion Perfecting Tinted Serum is made with 71% organic ingredients, like Gooseberry Fruit and Daisy Flower extract, which are known for their brightening and hydrating properties. I feel great about applying these ingredients daily.

ILIA’s serum does offer plant-based ingredients, but OGEE goes the extra mile with certifications for being organic, gluten-free, and GMO-free, which gives it an edge in this department.

The one that suits every skin type…OGEE

ILIA’s Super Serum Skin Tint seemed promising with its dewy finish and skincare benefits, but it didn’t quite work for me. On my combination skin, it sat heavy, especially around the T-zone.

While ILIA does contain hyaluronic acid and other ingredients for hydration, I didn’t need a does-it-all concealer—I have a toner that lays the foundation of hydration so I can rely on OGEE’s luminous lightness to be that gentle last layer that polishes my skin naturally. It works harmoniously with my existing skincare routine.

The one that costs less…ILIA

ILIA’s Super Serum Skin Tint costs $48, while OGEE’s costs $58. For certain beauty products, cost is a decision-maker for me, but in this case, that extra $10 is evident in the quality and wear of OGEE’s product.

Not only is OGEE’s meticulous sourcing of organic ingredients and clean beauty certifications justification for the price, the longevity and comfort this tinted serum offers throughout the day makes it a step above.

It’s decided: OGEE’s tinted serum is the world’s best mineral moisturizer

Both OGEE and ILIA offer fantastic options for those seeking a natural-looking tinted moisturizer. But for me, OGEE’s Complexion Perfecting Tinted Serum takes the win with its customizable coverage, superior organic ingredients, and versatility for all skin types.

If you’re looking to elevate your days with skincare that feels as good as it looks, try OGEE’s tinted serum today and enjoy skin that looks better even after you take your makeup off.
