I Was Skeptical That OGEE’s Contour Sticks Actually Worked… Here’s Why I Was Wrong

As a makeup-obsessive person, I have to confess that I’ve been burned by overhyped products more than once.

Over the years I’ve become much more discerning when it comes to clicking “add to cart”, so I wasn’t exactly running to jump on the bandwagon when I first heard about OGEE’s Contour Collections. The promise of effortlessly enhancing my face’s natural contours with “balmy sticks” that would deliver a radiant, natural glow without feeling heavy? It sounded too good to be true.

But after weeks of seeing rave reviews from friends and beauty bloggers alike, my curiosity got the better of me. I decided to put OGEE’s Contour Collection to the test, along with their Sculpted Complexion Stick.

Want to know what I discovered?

Shade Selection and Versatility

OGEE’s thoughtfully curated Contour Collections impressed me from the moment I started browsing. I chose their Crystal Contour Collection, with shades in Copper (bronze), Rose Quartz (blush), and Opal (highlight). These three blend seamlessly for a natural, cohesive look without appearing overdone – zero blush blindness over here! For those preferring warmer or rosier tones, the Golden and Radiant collections offer equally stunning options.

I also loved the range of OGEE’s Sculpted Complexion Stick, which they have available in 20 unique shades. This variety makes it easy to find the perfect match for your skin tone (or even use multiple shades for contour and coverage).

Texture and Application

I’ll be honest – I was skeptical about the “balmy” texture they advertise. Would it be too greasy? Too sheer? But to my delight, the consistency is juuust right. It glides on smoothly without tugging at the skin, yet it’s not so slippery that it slides right off.

The stick format makes application a breeze (and is perfect for touch-ups if I need). I can quickly swipe the contour under my cheekbones, dab on the blush, and highlight my cheekbones in under a minute flat. For a more precise application, I sometimes use my fingers to blend, but often the warmth of my skin is enough to melt the product in seamlessly.

Natural, Buildable Coverage

Here’s where OGEE really won me over: these contour sticks actually deliver on their promise of a natural, radiant glow. The coverage starts sheer but is easily buildable, which allows me to customize my look from “no-makeup makeup” all the way to a full glam.

What impresses me most is how the product seems to meld with my skin rather than sitting on top of it. Even when I build up the coverage, it never feels heavy or looks cakey, which is an absolute game-changer.

Long-Lasting Wear and Skincare Benefits

I was also pleasantly surprised by how well these sticks last throughout the day.

Even on long, busy days, these contour sticks hold up remarkably well. I often find that my makeup looks just as good at the end of the day as it did at (literal) first blush – something I can’t often say about a cream product!

Plus, an unexpected bonus: OGEE infuses their products with all kinds of beneficial skincare ingredients. Their Sculpted Complexion Stick, for instance, contains hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastin to keep your skin youthful and glowing. It also includes pracaxi seed oil and patchouli leaf extract, which are said to improve elasticity and collagen production. While I can’t speak to any long-term effects yet, I can appreciate that my makeup is doing more than just sitting on my skin.

The Verdict

I almost hate to admit it, but…OGEE’s Contour Collection and Sculpted Complexion Stick have completely won over this former skeptic. These products truly deliver on their promises, offering a perfect balance of performance and convenience for a natural, radiant glow. Plus, with OGEE’s shade finder quiz and commitment to clean, organic ingredients, finding your perfect match is so easy!

While the Contour Collection ($138 for the set) and Sculpted Complexion Stick ($64) are an initial investment, their quality, versatility, and long-lasting wear make them worth every penny for those seeking effortless, stunning makeup.

These products have earned a permanent place in my makeup routine – will they earn a place in yours?
