4 Reasons I’m Ditching My Brooklinen Sheets for Parachute

Picture this: you’ve just showered and you’re en route to cozy up with a good book. Cloud-like sheets and bedding ☁️ make all the difference, right? I’ve long been loyal to my Brooklinen cotton sheets, but they just weren’t living up to my expectations—they didn’t feel as silky soft as they did when I got them, and I was simultaneously too hot and too cold.

Then, I heard about Parachute and decided to give it a try. Here are 4 reasons why I’m making the switch and will never go back:

1. These soft sheets will last for a long time

I’ve always been told that the higher the thread count, the softer the sheets. 500 thread count sheets are basically peak luxury, right? Well, linen is thicker than cotton, so a high thread count isn’t a great indicator of how luxurious your linen sheets are!

My Brooklinen sheets were 300 thread count, but my Parachute sheets were SO much softer. Unlike the Brooklinen sheets that seemed to lose their softness over time, Parachute’s breathable linen starts soft and only gets softer with each wash. Jumping into bed each night is like being wrapped in a gentle hug every night. Who doesn’t want sheets that only get more luxurious with time? ✨

2. They’re comfortable for both hot and cold sleepers

The first thing that caught my attention about Parachute was their temperature-regulating Linen Sheet Set. Made of 100% European flax, these sheets have been a game-changer, keeping me comfortably cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. This was a refreshing change from my experience with Brooklinen, where I often found myself either too hot or too cold.

3. These antibacterial sheets help keep my skin clear

I thought there was no way my Parachute sheets would improve my skin, but it’s true—Parachute’s sheets are naturally antimicrobial, which means they protect against things like acne-causing bacteria, odor, and mold (AND you don’t have to wash them as often). They’re OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning they’re free from harmful chemicals, which is doubly important for your skin and the environment.

I’ve definitely noticed less spots since sleeping on my Parachute sheets, which is THE most amazing fringe benefit—if I’d known about this secret hack, I would’ve ditched my Brooklinen sheets sooner!

4. It’s high-quality bedding that won’t break the bank

Aside from Parachute’s outstanding customer service—think free one-on-one consultations with an expert stylist—they also offer free, carbon-neutral shipping and 60-day returns. The Linen Sheet Set costs $189—$359, depending on if you add a top sheet or not. Parachute also offers several bundles to save you money, and when you consider the quality and durability of the materials it’s truly a cost-effective choice.

So while it’s definitely an investment, you’ve got 60 days to sleep on it! (Trust me, you’ll want to keep them). And let’s not forget, they’re Climate Neutral Certified, which is a big win in my book. 📖
